March 31, 2000 [social] -- Jewish Youths returning to Faith. Not all parents are happy. by Cody Clark at 7:28 AM (EST) ![]() via Harvard's Pluralism Project, a Boston Globe report on a trend among Jewish youths returning to traditional forms of Judaism. Some of their lapsed or more liberal parents see this return to religion as a form of rebellion -- a critique of the parents' more secular lifestyles. editor -- This is another piece of evidence of an ascendant trend in U.S. Judasim. An interesting intergenerational dynamic. I have anecdotal evidence (a hunch) that this youthful conservatism is also budding in my Catholic Church. I wonder how this dynamic plays out among the young in the other major religions in the U.S. We'll be keeping tabs... |
