Supporters look to the sites as the next step toward the democratization of religion. Detractors believe these spiritual web malls will commercialize, dilute, and "menu-ize" traditional faith. editor -- Supports a trend toward religious pluralism in the U.S. and developed nations. How the web will affect religion is still a key uncertainty. That it will profoundly affect religion, at least in developed nations, is not. |
